Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for over a decade. Alexandra is known for the roles she played on Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born the only child to Romanian actors Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her career in show business from a young age. At the age of 16, she was sixteen, she had secured leading roles in several TV dramas. Her critically acclaimed role in the film made for television Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the role of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge from the critically and commercially successful Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. Other Oscar nominated film starring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra is known for her participation in a variety of noteworthy projects both domestically and internationally. One of these is the British biographical film Control, the Greek movie The Dust of Time, as well as the French historic miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she was a member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
